My childhood memories are filled with my mother listening to her albums: ABBA, Arlo Guthrie, John Denver, Momma’s and The Papa’s, Barbara Streisand, and many musicals and show tunes. The feel in the room was intoxicating as she selected the music to fit her mood or was it vice versa? Next, I remember singing along with the radio on the way to school and thinking I sounded a lot like the singers on the radio. Somehow in the first grade I thought I knew something about music and love and wrote my first song: “My Love Strikes Like Lightning”. I started taking guitar lessons in 6th grade and this sparked my creativity like a match to fireworks. Music became my outlet and I found my life and emotions spilling on to paper. In Junior High and High School I participated in swing choir and musicals. As a young adult I had the opportunity to make a cd with a very talented bunch in Omaha, including Ron Cooley from Mannheim Steamroller, at Warehouse Productions. This was by far the coolest thing I had done in my life, up to that point. Now, it’s all about you… the crowd. I love seeing people rocking out, dancing and having fun, and this group of guys knows how to deliver the music. It’s truly my privilege to be able to perform for you because music is my life.
