I am helping an amazing drummer set up a band since he has found that joining one that is already established tends to mean being treated like shit. He enjoys many different types of music.
If you would like to get a band going, contact me, tell me about yourself, your style, the music you enjoy, et cetera and if there seems to be a good fit, you can try getting together and playing to if there is chemistry.
He wants this band to be a democracy and one that takes everyone's lives into consideration. You won't be told when practice is and you won't tell anyone else when practice is. It'll be worked out between the members. Music writing will be a collaboration. No one will be simply a tool for the rest of the band.
In order to have a good, working band, you need to have good relationships with your band members and managers (if you have one). You should be considerate of each other. If you can't stand being around each other in a social setting other than playing, then things aren't likely to work out for long.
After the band is set up, I'll do the booking and such so that the band members can concentrate on writing music and practicing.
