Rock and roll is dead, dusty, and walking around Lower Michigan. Badsville is a three-piece rockabilly band formed in a basement on the outskirts of Flint, MI in fall of 2008. Focusing on a raw, unhinged blend of rock 'n' roll blues and garage rock, Badsville takes influence from such greats as Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Burnette, and The Sonics. Rocking originals are their forte, all while not losing grasp of the classic songs that defined the genre.
The group is headed up by the founding members, singer, songwriter, and upright bassist smilin' Jordan Lyn and the deceivingly mild-mannered Anthony Palmer blaring on the Stratocaster guitar. Joined by the big beat of drummer Tony “Santiago” Rodriguez (Empty Arms, Death Invades Earth) in early 2010, Badsville begun their stride into the gin soaked music scene.
Badsville has been burning holes in the map of lower Michigan to great reception since the completion of their line-up. They have been featured on uDetroit TV's “Wolfman Mac Show”, Rumbleville's Annual “Rumble in Flint” at The Machine Shop, and had a song featured in Lonnie Martin's independent horror-comedy film “Cougars”. As well, they've played along great bands such as Cash O'Riley and the Downright Daddies, The Goddamn Gallows, and Three Bad Jacks. Now in the midst of 2012, Badsville is preparing to hit the studio for their first four song EP and beginning preliminary work on their first full length vinyl album.
